Bloggers in Zambia

Hey everyone! It’s Day 7 of the WinterABC and today we journey into the blogging world. I’m going to be very honest with you, when I saw the prompt for today’s post, not so many people came to mind. It’s either I don’t know so many Zambian bloggers, there aren’t so many Zambian bloggers or maybe a little bit of both.

I’m going to share with you 5 Zambian bloggers whose content I enjoy and who I think you should check out if you haven’t already.

Chikonjiwe, Lessons from a Learner

Lessons from a Learner

I have been following her blog, Lessons from a Learner from it’s inception. From the name of the blog, you can tell that she posts life lessons to do with different things ranging from being single to academics. Everything is mostly based on her experiences but still extremely relatable. One of my favourite posts by her is the “Oh So Single!” series and “Letter to the Change-seekers”.

Nampwa, Forking Around Lusaka

Forking Around Lusaka

Nampwa is a food blogger on Instagram running a blog called Forking around Lusaka. If you’re big on food and trying new things then her blog is the one to see. She visits different restaurants and gives detailed, honest and interesting food reviews. Visit her blog to join her on her Lusaka restaurant tour. I already have a list of restaurants to visit when I’m back in Lusaka!

Esnala Banda, thewhitelilyspeaks

I heard about her before I heard about her blog and that’s because she is the award winning author of the Poetry Anthology called Sketches of Paranoia, a book I am yet to get my hands on. On her blog, she has interviews with various creatives from Zambia and other African countries too.

Sekayi & Tukiya Fundafunda, MaFashio

If you didn’t know about MaFashio before, you surely know about it now. MaFashio is a blog run by 2 sisters and according to them started as a street style blog. Everything about MaFashio is pleasing from the way their pieces are written to their aesthetics pictures. Their blog has 2 sections, Lookbook and Diary. I’d want to give you my favourite post to start with, but just look through everything. I’m clearly a fan. On second thought, if you are a lover of love like I am, read “’til 3005” first. I promise, you’ll love it.

Bulangizi Mweetwa, Bulangizi

Bulangizi is a lifestyle blog which has a little bit of everything on it. Fitness, Fashion, Food and now Book reviews. She also happens to be the first blogger I saw take part in blogmas and I was so impressed because writing and posting everyday can be exhausting. She posts once a month so look out for her June post soon!

Nicole Kahari, Kalnic

Kalnic is a blog focused on wellness, fitness and beauty. It has amazing workout challenges and various workouts which can be done from home, a must for this Quarantine period. Her blog also has natural hair and skincare tips as well as easy and healthy food recipes. I’m not the most athletic person and it takes me a lot just to get my workouts done but seeing Nicole’s work always points me in the right direction. Be sure to check out her blog for everything fitness and wellness. Another interesting thing is Nicole is my childhood best friend, not that it’s relevant but I just thought you should know.

After this I’m definitely looking out for more Zambian bloggers! Please comment down below any other Zambian bloggers I should check out. I’ll be back tomorrow.

Stay safe and practice social distancing. Black lives matter. Stop sexual abuse.

Thanks for reading!
