I’m Back! Life Update, What’s New?

Hey everyone! I am officially back to blogging. I took the month of January off and I’m so glad I did. No regrets. Did you miss my posts? Did you miss me at all? I definitely missed being around here. Happy New Year! Are people still saying that? This is the first time we are officially communicating this year so I suppose we get a pass. In any case, my year begins in February, the most elite month of the year.

Thanks to everyone who read and commented on my posts while I was away. That always helped me remember that I have a blog to get back to and made sure I came back so here I am. You won!

So, before I get into my usual business and my regular posts, I figured I should update you with what has been going on with me. Maybe, I’ll be doing these twice a year. Or when something significant happens in my life. So let’s do that!

University

One of the reasons I took this break from my blog was to catch up with school work and all that. Did I? Barely! If you don’t know, I’m in my final year of university. I get to graduate this year, God-willing.
Being in the final year comes with working on a research and honestly, that has been keeping me really busy and stressed out! Sometimes I forget about my other classes because of trying to be up to date with this and doing everything online doesn’t really help either. Anyway, I have exams in exactly one month and my thesis presentation in a couple of weeks so please say a prayer for me.

Afrobloggers Awards

I’ve made mention of Afrobloggers a few times on this blog. Anyway, one evening, I was minding my business just scrolling through my social media when I found out my blog had been nominated for an award under the Personal Blog category. I could not believe it and even now it feels unreal.
This is definitely one of my highlights of this year so far. It’s almost hard to believe that a blog run by me, was nominated for an award. When do I get to change my bio to “Award Nominated Blogger”? Please let me know.

Working Out

I have been working out six days a week. I am currently on day 15. I follow Chloe Ting’s work out plans and I think they are really good and helpful even though half the time you want to get into the screen and kick her. My body really appreciates work outs because I’m not the most active person. So, if you need someone to help out with your workouts, I highly recommend checking out Chloe Ting on YouTube.
I’m hoping to eventually become one of those people who can’t do without working out because right now, getting out of bed to work out is so hard.

What’s New?

I rearranged my room and my table currently faces the window. So, when I zone out as I study, I can just look out the window and watch people walk by or cars drive passed me. I have braids I need to take out but honestly, I do not have time for a wash day or time to really comb my hair.
Also, I have worked on two posts for fellow bloggers and currently working on the third one so that has been exciting. What a way to start the year. I’ll definitely let you know when each of them go up. It’s always fun to work with other people. Lastly, I have my first guest post of the year coming up this month so that should be exciting.

  2. I am soooo glad you’re back and I look forward to reading your posts in the future! I am in my final year at university too and I definitely understand the struggle. It’s very demanding and it’s hard to keep up with blogging with everything else going on.

    I love Chloe Ting – her workouts are so effective. The first few days after trying a new workout by her – my body hates me but the results are so good.

      Same! After a few weeks the workouts become more bearable. Today’s workout was actually the first one I enjoyed ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ after 2 weeks!
