My First Blog Collaborations

Hey everyone! Happy New Month! I hope May will be very kind to us. May is also Mental Health Awareness month. I hope we all remember to look after our mental health too.

Welcome to this week’s post. Months ago, I promised I would update you on blogs/projects I was working on with other bloggers. They have been out for months and I forgot to share them on my blog so I’m here to do that now!

I decided to put them all in one post, tell you a bit about each of them and leave links to the posts so you can check them out and show me some love!

Chronicles of an Intern: Dose of Wonani Takeover

In the month of February, I had an amazing opportunity to guest post on Chiko’s blog, Lessons From A Learner. She had a series about her internship and the lessons she learnt in that period of time.

From Lessons From A Learner

This one was interesting because when I initially wanted to write about what I learnt during my internship, my relationship series was up and running so I couldn’t do it and just accepted I wouldn’t write about the internship. So when Chiko asked me to share on my blog, I was happy cause my internship story was finally going to be told.

You Can Also Read: How To Get An Internship

In my first post for Chronicles of an Intern, I wrote about my experience leading up to the internship, how I felt about “being the new kid” and gave a breakdown of how much I was spending as an intern compared to how much I was getting paid. I also wrote a bit about the work environment and about the first week of work. Basically, this is the post where I wrote about the embarrassing and funny things that happened to me during my internship. You can read part 1 here!

In conclusion, companies should pay interns more.

In the second post, I focused more on what I learnt from that experience. Being nice to people, independence, how important we all are, overcoming fear and trust. This was definitely the more serious one of the two but my favourite! You can read part 2 here!

7 Reasons Why Living in a Foreign Country is Hard

The title of the post explains the whole post. I had a chance to write for Becoming Ubu for a series on living away from home. For those who do not know, I’m a Zambian living in Malaysia.

In this post, I shared what it’s like living in Malaysia as a student, focusing mainly on 7 things. I did my best to keep the post slightly humorous and light while still putting my points across. I think it was a funny but insightful post.

With that said, if and when you have the chance to travel abroad, take it with both hands. Just go for it. The bad outweighs the good. Most times at least. Read the full post here!

Yes. That is my full name. This post is a memorable one because it is my very first interview. As expected, I was, and still am, really excited about it. For a first timer, I think I did pretty good.

When I first read it, I was so amazed at how the author put my answers together.

If you want to know a little bit more about me, this interview is definitely the one to read. Also, I almost never post pictures of myself here so if you would like to see what I look like, then read the interview. Read the whole interview here!

That’s it for now. I hate seeing typing errors when there’s nothing I can do to fix them. I hope I can write more for other blogs and other people. Hopefully, I will be writing another post like this soon! Don’t forget to click the links and read the posts. Let me know what you think about them in the comments below.

Thanks for reading!
Wonani Xx
