Hey guys! After yesterday’s post, I decided to share some ideas on how to make money as a student. Feel free to add more in the comments below!
Hair Braiding Service
If you know how to braid hair, this is something you can definitely do. Black hair salons are generally expensive (Outside Africa) so people are always looking for alternatives. This is a really good option and a good way to make some good money every month.

Become a Tutor
If you speak really good English or English is your first language, you can take up tutoring jobs and teach English. Especially if you are in a non-English speaking country. A few hours every week can get you something decent.
You can also tutor in different courses, depending on what you’re studying. There are a number of websites where you can find tutoring jobs or you can just tutor people in your university studying the same program as you.

Social Media
You could have a YouTube Channel, a blog, podcast or use you Instagram account to make money. You could share your university or life experiences, show us you trying out new and different food, travelling to different places and you could eventually earn through sponsorship and brand collaborations.

Get a part-time job
You can get a part time job at a cafe, be a store assistant etc. Just be sure to know the work limitations in the country of study and make sure you’re able to balances your classes and your job well.

Make and sell a product
You can sell your art or anything you’re good at making. I know a girl who makes body scrubs and lotions and she sells them online. So you can find something you are good at making or print some cool designs on t-shirts and sell them. You could also be a distributor for a brand and make your own money.

What are more creative ways students can make money? Let me know in the comments below!

I used to do surveys online and still do (except no time for them anymore). The one site I used was Swagbucks which was the only legit site I found. I made $110 CAD during the months that I was using it (during the pandemic). Iβm not sure which countries are supported by Swagbucks though, but itβs worth looking into π

Surveys are a really good idea. I’ll check that out and see if it’s available where I am.

Great post and ideas. One cool way Iβve seen people make money is by creating online experiences on Airbnb. Anyway, nice to see you again, Wonani!

1. If you like writing, a lot of sites pay you for articles (but the pay isn’t A LOT)
2. Become a virtual assistant for someone
3. Take part in medical experiments like JOEY did π π (JK!!)

Thanks for these tips. Oouuu a virtual assistant. I’ve never thought of that.
Also, to be very honest, I would take part in a medical experiment. Only if it’s a fun and safe one ππ
