Hello lovely readers! You’re probably wondering if this is real and if I’m really back. The short version of where I have been is this: I went on an unplanned hiatus and for the longest time, I just couldn’t come back. However, I feel like I am ready for the blog and everything that comes with it.
In 2020, I made mention that I hoped to hit 500 followers by the end of 2021 and I did! Thank you so much to all 595 of you, lovely readers, for clicking that follow button. I love reading all your comments and interacting with all of you. You are a pretty interesting bunch. I hope I can make this year more interesting and definitely more interactive. Look forward to some interesting changes on the blog.
Moving back home + Change in posting date.
For those of you who don’t know, I am now in Lusaka. This is a new environment for my blog. I started my blog when I was in uni and now that I am back home, I’ve been having a hard time blogging but that is a story for another day. After my February series, I decided to change the day my blogpost goes up. Instead of posting on Mondays at 2:00pm CAT, I’ll be posting on Wednesdays at 2:00pm CAT. We will be having Wonani Wednesdays or something like that. I’m still thinking of a cool hashtag for this. Please do give me tips if you have any.
I am aware that I owe you a blogpost on life back home and how I’m settling in. That post will definitely be going up in the next few weeks and I’m so excited to share it with you. I’ve only been in Lusaka for a few months but my life has changed so much.
Closing Out The Uni Era With A Bang.
This blog is my undergraduate university baby. Now that I’m done with this part of my life, I would like to close it out in a special way. I will only be sharing two posts that are related to my uni (undergrad) life and then that will be it for now, until I decide to further my studies.
So, one of those two posts will be a Q&A. You can ask me any and as many questions related to uni, my experience with uni, studying abroad, etc. You can either leave your questions in the comment section of this post, send me a DM or send your questions to my email address firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to seeing your questions.
What should you expect from Dose Of Wonani?
There are a few things I would like change or work on related to my blog in 2022. I’ll share a few of them with you.
- I’d like to bring you new and fresh content and a generally different vibe. If you have been here for the last couple of years then you would notice that my blogposts follow a certain pattern on schedule and I would like to change that. I don’t want my blog to be too predictable but I still want it to be familiar.
- I will be going through all my old blog posts, apart from the one i can’t read until I’m 30, and refresh them. Add some information and give them a new feel. Basically, I would like to update them. So, if you haven’t read all my posts, from the very first one, you can check back here in a few weeks.
- I would also love to work with different bloggers from different countries. I didn’t do so well with collaborations last year because it was a very busy year for me. My plan is to work with more creators; bloggers and creators in general and to create new opportunities for Dose of Wonani. I would like to take this website to places I could have never imagined.
- Finally, I want to give this blog my best. I gave it the best I could last year given everything that was going on with me. This year, however, I will be investing my time and just fully committing to doing my best whenever and wherever I can.
Expect to meet new faces and hear different voices. I hope every time you come here, you find something relatable and something that does something good for you.
I look forward to returning to my normal blogging schedule! I’m not promising to be here every week but you surely won’t go more that two weeks without reading for me. I just need time to really get into it.
As always, thanks for reading. Even when I disappear off the face of the earth and you’re not sure of when I’ll return. Don’t forget to leave questions for the uni Q&A!
