“Sasha needs a friend,” a breathless Ashley said to me. We had just spent the last twenty minutes playing with Sasha outside. I didn’t run often but Sasha always made sure Ashley and I got the exercise we needed. “No, she doesn’t. Sasha, do you need a friend?” I asked her. My perfect dog looked at me for a few seconds then ran off to get one of her chew toys. “You see! She is happy with just us,” I said as I sat on a garden chair. “Whatever you say,” Ashley responded and sat down next to me.
I picked up my phone and started mindlessly scrolling through social media. I noticed that I had a notification on Instagram. I found that strange because I hadn’t posted anything on the app in a long time. I clicked on the notification and to my surprise, it was James.
Friday afternoons take the longest to end especially when it is your birthday weekend and you have plans. James and I had a trip planned for the weekend and I was very excited about it.
I found out about the trip a week prior when he surprised me with a flight ticket. We would be going to Samfya. I had always wanted to visit the town and spend time on the beach but I never liked the idea of driving for ten hours just to get there. I was so elated when I read the email with the flight information. I opened it every day just to make sure it was real and I wasn’t dreaming.
Hey everyone! We are officially in the last month of the year. From last week’s post, it’s very clear that I have started winding down and ending the blog for the year. This has been a long blogging year for me as I have posted more this year than the two years before, combined. Despite it being tiresome, it has been fun! I tried so many new things with my blog this year and I decided to go through my posts and share my favourites with you. (Thanks YouTube Rewind for the inspo)
Hey everyone! Welcome to the fifth and final post in the Relationship Series. If you haven’t read the previous posts, make sure you do here! I grouped them together just for you.
In true Dose of Wonani fashion, I’m going to end the series with an open letter. I did the same in my last series so I might as well keep it going. I got this prompt and wrote this letter months ago but I was waiting for the right time to post it here and I guess that’s now.
Here is my letter to my future boyfriend.
To my future boyfriend,
My biggest question is have we met? If we have then it will be interesting to get to know you in a new space and a new light. If we haven’t then hi. My name is Wonani.
